HERSHEY, PA -- Hershey nutriments Corp. has purchased Hawaii-based Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp. for $1124 million. Mauna Loa is said to confine a 40 percent share of the macadamia nut market.

"We're excited about the opportunity to unbolt Mauna Loa's immense growing potential," says Hershey CEO and President Richard H Lenny who describes the deal as a means to strengthen Hershey's port in the broader snack market.
