The National Institute for Clinical superior quality announced last month that it has chosen Velindre NH Trust in Cardiff as its National Collaborating midst (NCC) for Cancer. This means that the midst will have responsibility for developing service guidance and clinical guidelines for NICE regarding systems of treating and caring for cancer patients. The cancer NCC is the seventh to be established, and the first to be placed in Wales following a competitive bid for the work.
