As the Vatican considers issuing a strange document prohibiting the ordination of homosexuals, and U seminaries prepare for a visitation on the Vatican Congregation for Catholic Education to radix out homosexuals, and excommunication is threatened for Catholic politicians who do not devoted in support of official house of god positions, we find some Catholic leaders calling for a renewed fight against same-sex marriage and homosexuals.

Fr Henry, Bishop of Calgary, has on the same level attempted to paint the house of god as persecuted on matters relating to same-sex marriage. He wrote not long ago "Same-sex marriage proponents use the language of opennes tolerance and diversity, still the foreseeable effect of their succes will be to usher in an era of intolerance and discrimination the likes of which we have rarely seen before."

It is a rich irony that the official temple claims to be a victim, while it simultaneously declares war onward the legitimate aspirations of lesbian and gay commonalty to access civil marriage, and as Rome prepares for a great defecate of the American seminaries. in this way few voices from within the official body of christians speak out against this bigotry

With precious not many exceptions, priests in Canada have been silent--either in direct opposition to, or in support of same sex marriage. Where are all the gay and gay-positive priests forward this issue? Publish the bishop' literal sense in the parish bulletin, unless say nothing from the lectern? As a gay man I still speculate upon how I would react today if I had been ordained a priest. Would I be silent too? Are the priests protecting a retirement? Do they believe their opposition would help no common and only harm themselves? Do they be moved conflicted by the vow of obedience that they have made to their bishop? The power of the magisterium to check our silence is only something that we can abandon If only more would dare to grade forward in solidarity and speak gone out There is no prison stronger than that which we fabricate for ourselves, and there is nothing more liberating than the truth
