The year has already begun with the completion of the first NCCET Leadership Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. In June this institute will be the prototype for regional institutes throughout the next few years. In July the board will convenient in Portland, Oregon to scheme the course for the association for the coming year. This critical meeting welcomes five fresh board members that are ready to further the progression in a continuously ascending gradation of NCCET. Topics such as formal affiliation of state associations with NCCET modern processes for board nominations, of recent origin and improved membership services, AACC relations, working relationships with other national associations will be debated according to the board. It will be an exciting time.

In October, the NCCET national interview will be held in Richmond, Virginia. This talk has something for everyone including history, of the best sessions on the pressing topics of today, renowned keynote speakers and, of course, the inferior annual pool tournament. The talk provides an excellent forum for first time attendees and those members that want to upgrade their knowledge base. I would like to thank the Virginia Community corporation system for the work they have already bring forward into the conference.

Other workshops that members may have interest in are the AACC Workforce unravelling Institute in January. This will be in San Diego and is cosponsored from NCCET. The other is the ACC conversation in April. Both provide professional growing possibilities.

In addition to Portland and Richmond, your NCCET Board will qualified two more times during the year. It will integral and implement an updated three year strategic plan. This important document will forward as the blueprint for continued development of the association. I would anticipate further exhibition of collaboration with our corporate partners and the services they bring to the membership. Membership product is another area that will receive continued board support. The board will provide leadership upon national issues that impact our members. White papers and forums will be unfolded as needed. It will be a busy year.

I would look for that it would also be a busy year for the membership. It is important that you become familiar with your regional director. He or she should be contacting you with updates, information and, in general, maintaining communication. You, as a member, should use the regional and functional directors as a resource. Take advantage of the NCCET web page. office jobs, questions and your outstanding programs forward it. Send articles in to the Catalyst and newsletter Do not be surprised if you acquire a call asking you to be forward a committee or become involved in a devise It is my belief that NCCET is the national association for professionals in the fields of continuing education, community service, and economic and workforce increase

The board and I consider forward to the coming year. It apply the minds to be an invigorating and active year. It is the two an honor and a pleasure to benefit as president of NCCET for the coming year.
