The AICPA is seeking its members' approval forward two proposals to enhance the ethics enforcement proces Ballots were mailed to members in late to Aug. 18 and must be recured by Oct. 18. sum of two units proposals are being addressed, and with ratification would end in an amendment to the Institute bylaws. The proposals would: 1 Allow the AICPA to sanction members without investigation if they have been sanctioned on governmental agencies such as the SEC or PCAOB. 2 Give the AICPA the flexibility to disclose more information about an investigation, expose to the review and approval of the Institute's Governing Council.
