AICPA Council voices to Retain Credentials

The AICPA governing Council has decided to retain the Institute's three specialty credentials and provide financial support for them, the underlying disciplines, and related membership sections. It was decided that support of the three underlying disciplines would benefit all AICPA members who either practice in or have interest in those areas.

Council accepted the resolution submitted on the AICPA Board of Directors. In its resolution, the Board giveed funding recommendations for:

* Personal Financial Planning ($46 million in exces of rewards through 2006).

* Information Technology ($56 million in exces
