The telecommunications sector in Honduras is evolving toward a competitive market, l on the private sector. In race 2003, the Government launched the draw "Telephony for All" (Telefonia Para Todos). An Executive statute (No. PCM 018-2003) containing the conditions for the modernization, progressive growth and expansion of the telecom services market was ratified in succession Oct. 24, 2003. The U Embassy-Honduras provides the following details:
Through this edict the National Telecommunications Company (HONDUTEL) may subscribe to non-exclusive and non-discriminatory commercialization
