Today's career counselors agree that finding a satisfying vocation is all about knowing your talents and finding your niche in the world of work. What does this really mean? Zing may not be about changing the world, unless it is about doing something that matters to you. "Choosing your work is your chance to do something more meaningful than getting up in the morning, putting in your time, doing what it takes to pay the bills," says Robert Lieder, a career counselor and author. His advice is to "put your talents to work forward some area of need that you believe in." 5 Value Your Values Whatever is important to you - those are your values. There are no right or wrongful values, but you must be thorough about what you value. Family, thoroughness integrity, work ethic, job security, and wealth are all values.
