America's public lands are among the nation's most numerous precious natural resources. Happily, they will come by some special attention September 28 forward National Public Lands Day. This year's theme is "Explore America's Backyards.

More than 70000 offers will assemble at over 450 sites across the native land Armed with tools and determination, they will work to improve public parks, beaches, forests, rivers, and lakes. They will build trails and bridges and restore historic conformations and other facilities. They will also put an end to weeds, plant trees, improve wildlife habitats, and guard natural resources.
