Canada's fisheries have bounc back from the devastating depletion of codfish on the Grand Banks if it were not that concerns remain. Government, industry and university researchers have collaborated to shift the focus from harvesting clod fish to shell fish: shrimp, lobster crab. Stocks are abundant however pressures on resources are said to be extremely high.
