These numbers reveal only part of the story. Along with the athletes who make up the core of any athletic team, a number of other nation work to keep the team running (or kicking or dunking). The "team behind the team" strives to make the overall operation a success

All agree that teamwork makes the Knicks tick. "It is the volatile part of what we do," assistant coach Brendan Suhr says. "We could not survive or be fortunate without a sense of teamwork the pair on and off the court."

For a behind-the-scenes consider at the kinds of work at jobss found in professional sports, Career World visited with elucidation staffers of the National Basketball Association's recent York Knicks.

Media Pro: VINCE JACKSON

Position: Director, media relations

Education: Bachelor's measure business administration, American International College

What He Does: The NBA is incredibly popular, and fans want to know about everything from the latest scores to the hottest fresh rookie.
