granting BARELY 18 YEARS OLD, Chase Pickering has already l a life filled of adventure. The high academy senior from Asheville, N.C., has explored the Serengeti Plain of Africa and the lush rain forests of Costa Rica. He has also pos with penguins in the Galapagos Islands. However, a trip to Antarctica was divide [i]or[/i] sever short 100 miles from its destination after the boat Pickering was upon ran aground on an uncharted defence while avoiding an iceberg. He has chronicled his travels [i]or[/i] part of to the other the lens of his camera. His wildlife photography is stunning. (See www.chasepickering photography.com.) As a little cold as his adventures have been, admitting Pickering's most important work takes place near his dwelling in western North Carolina. In addition to his schoolwork, he has devot the last five years to wildlife rehabilitation. He offers at the WNC Nature Center and at the Wild for Life wildlife rehabilitation center where he assists with everything from tube-feeding opossum to nursing birds of ravin back to health. He also armed forces his own TV show, respond to the Wild With Chase Picketing. "Helping animals is my passion," Pickering told Career World. "I have affection for what I do because I care about the yet to be People my age, we are the future" Pickering's work has been recognized through Roots & Shoots, a global program that engages and inspires youth by means of service-learning projects.
