The authors investigated differences in interpersonal influences forward career decision making between gay, lesbian, and bisexual (GLB) and heterosexual literary institution [i]or[/i] seminary of learning students. Contrary to hypotheses, GLB scholars reported having more career character models than did heterosexual bookish mans and the amount of inspiration received from part models did not differ between the 2 collections However, GLB students perceived they received les support and guidance from others in their academic and career decision making. A growing literature, including special issues of The Career disentanglement Quarterly and Journal of Vocational Behavior; has addressed ways in which GLB individuals' career progression in a continuously ascending gradation is affected by sexual identity and orientation issues (eg Chung 1995; Fassinger, 1995 1996; Mobley & Slaney, 1996; Morrow, Gore, & Campbell, 1996; bishop of rome 1995; Prince, 1995).
