Many counselors are aware that synchronicity--unpredictable instances of meaningful coincidence--can play a significant part in career opportunities, yet the phenomenon of synchronicity in the career literature is underrepresent The aim of this article is to discuss the proceeding of synchronicity in the career progress to maturity process. A philosophical context is readyed and provides a framework for understanding synchroniciey. by the agency of the presentation of 3 case studies, synchronistic themes are explored. Using various career counseling processe each client expanded an authentic identity and institute meaningful work through an experience with synchroniciey. Implications for counselors are discussed.

Each case at hands an example of a client who ignored his or her confess need for personal meaning in life and who had been stuck in a career unsuited to him or her. Various career counseling processe assisted these clients toward an understanding of their authentic interests, abilities, and values. In the existentialist view, meaning in life is critical to well-being. Career progressive growth across the life span is no les than a search for meaning.
