* President's Report (Steve Tepper)

* Special thanks and appreciation given to Dan Malone, Ellen Hillegass, and Dianne jewell for their assistance during CSM

* Issues from President's Meeting at CSM included:

1 .Reorganization of the Sections: proper to many reasons including memberships and finances, more [i]or[/i] less Sections are considering mergers and reorganization. No action taken in succession this issue, only brought to CP membership for hereafter consideration.

2. Abstracts for CSM: APTA will begin a $5 compensation for abstract submissions. Possibility for abstracts to be available to a wider audience between the sides of other methods such as PT /ournal or available upon the Website was discussed. CP membership will be notified of final decision.

3 Consensus conversation on specialty practice: Proposed by the agency of the Orthopaedic Section, this conversation would address changes in specialty practice, part of the specialist and other issues relating to specialty practices in PT Membership agreed to participate and financially support, if able, Section participation in parley Requested that methods be investigated, as it is as holding this conference in conjunction with Annual discourse to defray some costs.

4 Foundation of Physical Therapy Clinical Research Network: The fresh clinical research initiative was readyed to the membership. Lengthy discussion from the membership regarding proposal, use of supplys affect on the Section, financial commitment (Foundation requesting $10000 a year for 3-year commitment from CPS) Final membership decision as follows: "Move that the CP supports the universal of a $ 10,000 a year donation to the Foundation above 3 years for a total of $30000 with the understanding that these contributions will be used in a center participating in cardio vascular and/or pulmonary research." This also pursues a proviso that the executive board shall superintend that these donations will not inflict the section in financial jeopardy. The membership also demands the executive board to investigate alternative [i]modus operandi[/i]s of raising funds for the donation like as relationship with vendors.

5 PTA recognition of intermediate and/or advanced competency: PTAs are seeking collaboration forward establishing intermediate and/or advance practice competencies. Membership agreed to review proposal when supplied on the PTAs.

Vice President's report (Dianne Jewell for Ellen Hillegass)

* Minutes from President's meeting.

* Direct access- officers/chairs encouraged to help with state efforts for direct access which will help PT with fitness and health promotion characters

* HCFA has hired a contract company (Dynacorp) to review PT cases, consequences and reimbursement. This group involves a PT

* CP VP will now have oversight of Practice/Reimbursement/Governmental affairs issues for the Section and describe the Section at the Practice Chairs meetings at CSM Legislative Chair will continue to work onward issues associated with that committee.

APTA Taskforce forward Fitness in School Systems- discussed at President's meeting. This taskforce is sponsored by dint of Pediatrics and Sports and does not include CP CP APTA BOD liaison will bring this to the attention of APTA BOD for inclusion of CP in this propos taskforce associated with that committee.

* APTA Taskforce onward Fitness, Wellness, & Prevention: eventuates have been put into the normative pattern for entry-level education to prepare PT at the flush of exercise specialist.

Rental recompenses continue to increase, therefore it is attract favor toed that the Section review what is necessary to preserve to reduce the fees if possible. Membership conclud that nearest CSM would be an appropriate time to review the storage at CSM in Boston. Executive Committee charged to out and out task next year.
