A recommendation was made to the Executive Committee at CSM 2001 and brought forth to the Business Meeting that the part of the Vice President should be to have the direction of areas of Practice, Reimbursement, and sway Affairs. This recommendation came about with the change in Presidents when "position descriptions" were ask fored from each Officer and Chair forward the Executive Committee. The recommendation also was made to improve communication to the actual Committee Chairs from the APTA as well as increase assistance to the President. Many issues are generally facing the PT profession, particularly in the areas of reimbursement, practice, and guidance affairs. A "component officer" receives long information from APTA and can improve the transfer of communication from APTA to the actual Committee Chair as a proceed of one person overseeing these areas. 2 An editorial article was published in the April newsletter Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Practice was co-written with Richard Smith of the Montana State Chapter entitled "Selling on the outside Continuing Education." The article was written to discuss question s with Physical Therapists presenting continuing education seminars to inappropriate audiences and to draw attention to professional ethics.

3 The Montana Chapter is sponsoring an RC directed at Physical Therapy Providers of Continuing Education (RC-31) that the Section has been approached about sponsoring, which is generally under consideration.

4. A proposal was made to disclose a Task Force comprised of the Pediatrics and Sports Section regarding fitness education in teachs Our Board of Directors representative (Steve Levine) prayered our Section be included when he was made aware we were NOT originally included. At the March Executive Committee Meeting, the Executive Committee amended their promised to include all interested Sections, after our bear upons were brought to the attention of Ben Massey, APTA President.
