The learning bend for my new posi...

The learning bend for my new position as Membership Chair has been precipitous and I'm still climbing! I plan to continue processs already in place as well as to add any new items in order to recruit of the present day members and to increase outlook of our Section. I will also be attending the Membership disentanglement Roundtable at the Annual interview to get new ideas.

We have 923 members as of the 5/6/02 membership report: 708 PT 56 PTAs, 159 scholars

New Members

* Receive a present Journal and welcome letter inviting them to visit the Section's website, join discussions forward the listserv, and contact Section Board Members with questions and belong tos [Any other ideas on other valuable information to furnish to new members?]

Within 3 month recent members will receive a welcome phone call or email from a popular Section member from the of recent origin member's state or area of the nation [Any volunteers?]

* Within 6 month strange members are sent a questionnaire from email asking what clinical interests they have, by what mode and if the Section is meeting their wants and asking for comments. relate tos expressed will be forwarded to an appropriate Board Member for answer and a compiled report will be shared at CSM and Annual colloquy

Former Members

* impel a questionnaire by email ascertaining reason for dropping membership. A report will be shared at CSM and Annual talk

Ideas for Recruiting of recent origin Members/Increasing Exposure of the Section

* Continue program of members sponsoring bookish man members to join our Section

* Have explanation of the program and sign-up lists for members to offer to sponsor students) and close examiners to sign up to be sponsored at our Section booth

* Have members distribute membership application forms when they teach continuing education programs. [Where do we achieve these? These should be updated with our strange name, new Section goals, and include mention of wellness/health promotion.]

* Distribute unused Journals at continuing education programs or at the Section booth [Once the nearest Journal edition comes out, there are many extra copies of previous edition. Is there a point to be solved [i]or[/i] settled with giving these away?]

* Use booth for recruitment/exposure

* Establish giving gone out heart stickers as a consistent routine to all Section members who visit the booth [Les expensive than Section ribbons.]

* Print up page of Section accomplishments, eg First Certified Specialists, Linda Crane lessons

* Use pulmonary-based fundraiser for Annual talk and when CSM is not bring to a period to Valentine's Day.
