This issue contains an original research research by Dr Richard Bohannon and colleagues that examines the relationship of grip potency to acute outcomes in patients with community acquired pneumonia as well as a reprint of a review upon airway clearance techniques by Dr Dean Hess that was originally published in the journal, Respiratory Care. Dr Gary runlets wrote the Research Corner onward the topic of observational epidemiology. Epidemiological analyses have helped shed light forward much of what we know about the health-related benefits of physical activity and in like manner I hope that you will have the advantage [i]or[/i] blessing of his description of some basic techniques used in epidemiology. You will notice that this issue of the journal does not contain the abstracts of placard and platform presentations that will be readyed at CSM. As many of you know, there was a delay getting the abstracts not at home to the Research Chairs of the Sections for the review proces Tanya just received the abstracts for review as I am writing this editorial at the publication deadline of October 24 However, peacefulness assured, that they will be printed in the following issue scheduled to be published March 2003 It's hard to believe that sole a year ago I took from one side of to the other the editorship from Sandy Cassady. I have to say that I have learned a apportionment over the past year and have take pleasure ined the work. I would like to thank everyone that contributed to the succes of the Journal. I would especially like to thank the reviewers for their hard work and dedication. Without them, I could not do this piece of work and the Journal could not exist.
