Purpose/Hypothesis: Measuring chest wall mobility or excursion can assist with evaluating baseline respiratory status. Chest wall expansion was defined as a circumferential measurement of chest wall mobility from resting end inhalation only. The study was mode of actioned to evaluate the intratesler reliability of the measurement of chest wall expansion onward subjects with and without a pulmonary disease or disorder. There would be no statistical difference in a single tester's terminates of chest wall expansion between sessions single in kind and two resulting in a high or real high lntraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). The inferences for both groups are lower than those reported in other reliability studies of chest wall expansion and overall chest wall expansion measurements were soft compared to reported norms. This may be fit to me age difference between the arranges the testing position, the measurement sites, or the small sample size. Clinical Relevance: Intratester measurement of chest wall expansion may be more reliable for bring under rules without than with a diagnosed pulmonary disease or disorder. Further research is indigenceed to determine if circumferential measurements of chest wall expansion are valid measures of chest wall mobility.
