Purpose/Hypothesis: To describe lung function in ambulatory ones with multiple sclerosis (MS) and evaluate the relationship of respiratory muscle puissance and endurance ??: 1 ) pulmonary function ordeals (PFT), 2) physical performance functional standards (PPFT) and 3) neurological function (EDSS) Number of Subjects: 45 adult, ambulatory, subdues with clinically diagnosed MS participated. Mean and standard deviation (X SD) for the 6MWT were 1101 ?± 550 ft FST 124?± 97 sec RMB 154?± 99 sec and SST 246 ?± 1 70 sec Average EDS (37 ?± 17) indicate mild to moderate impairment forward a scale of O to 10 PEMax was significantly correlated to 6MWT distance (r=0484 p=0001 ) FST total time (r=-0466 p=0001 ) SST time (r= -0346 p=0020) EDS (r= -0374 p=0011) FEV(r=0526 p=0.000)and PEF (r=0627 p=0000) MVV was significantly correlated to MWT distance (r=0419 p=0004) FST total time (r= - 0492 p=0001) RMB (r= 0316 p=0033) EDS (r= -0401 p=0006) FVC (r=0749 p=0000) FEV(r=0798 p=0000) PEF (r=0727 p=0000) PIMax (r=0729 p=0000) PEMax (r=0675 p=0000) Conclusions: Marked expiratory weakness disentangles in ambulatory persons with M with minimal to moderate neurological involvement. Clinical Relevance: Several PFT abnormalities are associated with respiratory cross-question dysfunction, and relate to reduc PPFTs
