Purpose/Hypothesis: The end of this study was to evaluate choose cardiopulmonary responses to lower extremity continuous passive motion exercise (CPME) Number of Subjects: Twenty-one healthy physical therapy observers (9 males, 12 females) participated in the meditation Materials/Methods: A newly-developed device provided lower extremity CPME via clockwise rotation in a salirai plane at the rate of sixteen revolutions/min. controls were tested in the supine position with knee flex (~80?°) During testing leg were held in position by the agency of a padded strap. Heart rate, throb oximetry, blood pressure, calf circumference, respiratory rate, tidal dimensions and minute ventilation data were obtained upon all subjects under four time conditions (rest five, ten and fifteen min). A five min interposed stillness preceded each new trial with time order determined by way of random draw. Power analyses were make use ofed to establish subject n. Analysis: Repeated measures ANOVA was used to determine the carriage pair-wise differences between trials.
