Purpose/Hypothesis: Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is a habitual manifestation of atherosclerosis involving narrowing of the leg arteries and adversely affecting health, walking and quality of life. Symptomatic PAD (PAD-IC) is characterized by means of intermittent claudication (IC), a cramping pain that happens with walking, causing individuals to stop walking. The purports of this study were to describe differences in walking spe walking distance and gait parameters between exposes with PAD-IC and controls, and to describe factors that explain physical function score (PFS) and quality of life score (PADQOL) in make submissives with PAID-IC. Number of Subjects: Twenty five bring under rules with PAD-IC and 26 have charge ofs without PAD but similar in age, inflection for sex and physical activity status participated. Social support horizontals contribute more to quality of life than either physical function or personal beliefs. Clinical Relevance: An intervention approach that includes supervised exercise and social support is commended to improve both physical function and quality of life in populace with PAD-IC.
