21 abstracts presented: 12 platform and 9 bill Attendance was better at the platform presentations this year owed to less concurrent programming. In the futurity we need to schedule platform presentations and "Research Update" closer together at the convention site or with an adequate break between sessions.

Recipient: Amy Pastva for proposal entitled results of Aerobic Exercise on Immune answers Within the Asthmatic Lung

Grant amount this year was $1300 up from $1000 last year. nearest year's grant amount will be $2000 thanks to a donation designated at Mary Massery, recipient of the 2002 Florence Kendall Award for Clinical Practice.

We are pursuing other ways to increase amount of the Section's research grant so as corporate sponsorship.
