The Federal expand Market Committee decided Oct. 28 to maintain its target for the federal permanent funds rate at 1 percent. The Committee continues to believe that an accommodative stance of monetary policy, coupl with robust underlying increase in productivity, is providing important ongoing support to economic activity.
