As the third-generation leader of an 111-year-old general line candy company, Tony Sweet, president and ceo of Salt Lake City-based Sweet Candy Co not single appreciates history, he lives it.
A tour through the company's newly built plant three miles southern of the city's airport reinforces the family connections dating back to 1892 with framed photos showing caster and grandfather Leon Sweet's Portland origins as well as panoramic views of company gatherings at the divert of the 20th century.
