OTTAWA --- Anna E Bell, 95 Ottawa, died Sunday, March 19 2000 at an Ottawa nursing home

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral dwelling in Ottawa. Burial will be in Highland necropolis in Ottawa. Mrs. Bell will lie in state after 1 pm today at the funeral family circle where relatives and friends will encounter from 6 to 8 pm

Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian ecclesiastical authority in Ottawa.

Richard Clearman

EFFINGHAM --- Graveside services were March 17 at ascend Hope Cemetery in Topeka for Richard Warren Clearman Sr 78 Effingham, who died March 13 2000 at a Topeka hospital.

He was born tribe 29, 1921, in Junction City, to Albert Richard and Gwendolyn Grace Reagan Clearman, and exhausted his early life in Greenleaf. He received a bachelor's class in education from Washburn University. He was a teacher in Effingham denominations for 33 years before he retired in 1987

He was a Navy veteran of World War II, having serv aboard the aircraft carrier USS West Virginia.



He was a member of the Episcopal house of god and the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.

He married Corienne Louise Horton forward Aug. 19, 1970, in Junction City. She survives.

Other survivors include pair sons, Louis Clearman, Riverside, Mo and Richard Warren Clearman II, Altus, Okla.; a daughter, Pamela Amos, Hawthorne, Calif.; brace stepsons, Donald W. Jones Jr in Washington state, and Steven R Jone Grand Prairie, Texas; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Eickmeyer, Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Phyllis Leupold Tecumseh; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association Inc., coachman's seat 852, Rusk, Texas, 75785. Penwell-Gabel Mid- Town Funeral place of abode in Topeka was in charge of arrangements.

Edna Delong

VALLEY FALLS --- Edna Delong 73 Valley Falls, died Monday, March 20 2000 at a Topeka hospital.

Mercer Funeral hearthstone in Valley Falls is in charge of arrangements.

Keith Droz II

MANHATTAN --- Military graveside services will be at 2 pm today at Sunrise god's acre in Manhattan for Adolphus Keith Droz II, 60 Manhattan, who died Friday, March 17 2000 at a Manhattan hospital.

He was born June 16 1939 in Illinois, to Adolphus Keith and mercy Anderson Droz. He spent his early life in observes Angeles, where he attended denomination He served for more than 12 years in the Army and National Guard. He serv in Germany and Vietnam and earned the Purple Heart and assurance Star medals.

Mr Droz was discharged while stationed at Fort Riley and later was a maintenance worker and carpenter for the Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department from 1979 until 1994 when he went forward a medical retirement.

He was a former member of Disabled American Veterans, Pearce- Keller pillar No. 17 of the American Legion and leeward Pierson Post No. 1786 of Veterans of Foreign Wars, all in Manhattan.

He had no stop relatives.

Friends will encounter at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Irvin-Parkview Funeral residence in Manhattan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence Novell Bandshell in Manhattan City Park and sent in care of the funeral home

George A. Edgecomb

GLOBE --- George Andrew Edgecomb 84 way 1, Overbrook, who lived in the Globe community east of Overbrook died Sunday, March 19 2000 at a Baldwin City nursing home

He was born Aug. 23 1915 in Cunningham in Kingman shire to John W. and Mary Frances Barnhart Edgecomb He mov to the Globe- Centropolis community with his parents in 1918 He attended Centennial Grade train near Globe. He was a farmer and stockman for many years.

He was a member of the Eight Mile aged German Baptist Church west of Centropolis.

He married Hazel Ellen Boyd forward April 18, 1943, in Sawyer in Pratt shire She survives.

Other survivors include sum of two units sons, Lester E. Edgecomb, Baldwin, and dingle E. Edgecomb, Ottawa; three brothers, Paul Edgecomb Silver Lake, Ind., John Edgecomb Garnett, and Raymond Edgecomb Pacific wood Calif.; a sister, Pearl Flory, Phillipsburg, Ohio; six grandchildren; and sum of two units great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eight Mile antiquated German Baptist Church west of Centropolis. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill graveyard west of Centropolis. Mr. Edgecomb will lie in state after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral place of abode in Ottawa, where relatives and friends will fit from 6 to 7:30 pm Wednesday.

Peter Halling

ATCHISON --- Peter F "Pete" Halling, 85 Atchison, died Saturday, March 18 2000 at an Atchison retirement center

He was born Aug. 17 1914 in Doniphan shire to Ben and Julia Horsch Halling. He was a farmer for many years and also had been make use ofed by Midwest Grain Products Co in Atchison as a distiller before he retired in 1983 He later worked at Rockey's Service in Atchison.

He was a member of St Benedict's Catholic ecclesiastical body and Knights of Columbus Council No. 723 the two in Atchison.
