LITITZ, PA -- The Wilbur Chocolate unit of Gargill, Inc. has purchased Peter's Chocolate from snuggle USA. The acquisition reportedly makes Wilbur the top U supplier of chocolate to the industry.

The purchase price of the deal, which does not include Peter's production facilities, was not disclosed.

"This is the greatest in quantity noteworthy acquisition in our 118-year history," says William Shaughnessy, president of Wilbur.
